The goal of the publication is the development of a soldering management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.

This manual includes a CD which contains the welding system assessment worksheets.

Benefits to the automotive industry include gaining a better understanding of a manufacturing process not well understood by OEM´s and Tier 1´s today. A common solution to ensure quality, reliability of supplied components to the industry. The supply chain will be able to identify areas that need improvement at their special process facilities as well as improving their process capability.
